An expired BTP card or a failed Consuel visit, and the job grinds to a halt

Between field techs' BTP cards that expire without warning, Consuel visits to prepare by the book and check points to record on every installation, tracking ends up on sticky notes and two spreadsheets. An expired BTP card blocks a tech at the site gate, a Consuel visit is skipped for want of a complete checklist, a self-inspection is never logged. Constrigo brings BTP cards, Consuel preparation and self-inspection plans together in one place. The field tech ticks the check points on site, you approve, and the office pulls up the installation's history in one click.

What Constrigo does for this trade

Consuel

A Consuel inspection rarely fails by bad luck — more often by an incomplete checklist. Constrigo builds the Consuel points into your electrical self-inspection plan: insulation measurements, distribution-board labelling, compliance with the wiring diagram. You tick each line as the job progresses and walk into inspection day with an installation prepared by the book, not a file thrown together the night before.

Carte BTP

An expired BTP card, and the field tech is stuck at the site gate. Constrigo records each employee's BTP card with its expiry date, then alerts you 90 days ahead — enough time to start the renewal without blocking anyone. Past the date, the card switches to “expired”: you can see at a glance who is in order before sending a team on site.

Self-inspection plan

Self-inspection doesn't belong in a notebook left in the van. Constrigo gives you a ready-to-use electrical self-inspection plan: cable trays, wiring labelling, distribution-board wiring, insulation and continuity measurements. Each point is checked at its set phase — some at every work phase, others at the end of the job — and the field tech ticks them off from their phone. You keep proof that the installation was checked, point by point.

Quotes & invoices

An electrical quote is often counted in points — sockets, switches, light points — plus the board and its protection devices. Constrigo reuses those lines from one job to the next, applies the right VAT rate for new build or renovation, and the client signs online. The accepted quote becomes an invoice with no re-keying.

Progress billing

On a commercial job or a full renovation, the electrical package is billed as it progresses, not in one go. Constrigo draws up the situations package by package — power, low-voltage, distribution board — with a deposit up front and a running total of what's still owed. You get paid in step with the job instead of waiting for handover.

Team scheduling

A team of electricians rarely works a single site. The schedule spreads the crew across jobs, and Constrigo blocks an assignment when a task needs an electrical authorisation the planned worker doesn't hold — or one that's expired. You avoid sending someone to lock off a board without the qualification for it.

Site journal

A chase gets filled, a false ceiling goes up: whatever wasn't photographed is gone. The site journal keeps the installation's photos, dated and tied to the right site — conduit runs, board labelling, the state of things before everything is closed up. The worker takes them from their phone, and the office finds them again if something is queried six months later.

Frequently asked questions

Yes. You record each employee's BTP card with its validity date and Constrigo warns you 90 days before it expires. Past that date the card switches to “expired”, so no field tech turns up on a job with an out-of-date card.

Go further

Typical use cases

How each type of construction business uses Constrigo

A small masonry firm replaces Excel and WhatsApp with a single tool: quotes, invoices, jobsites and scheduling in one place. The crew uses the app in the field while the office follows the dashboard — everyone sees what they need.
