In short
A sent invoice whose due date has passed automatically switches to "Overdue". Find it in Reminders and follow up with your client.
In brief
Every day, Constrigo switches sent invoices whose due date has passed to the "Overdue" status. Find them in the "Overdue" tab of the invoices or on the Reminders page. Follow up with the client in four levels: 1st, 2nd and 3rd reminder, then a formal notice. Reminders require the Artisan plan and are restricted to the company owner.
Spot overdue invoices
- In the invoice list, the "Overdue" tab groups the unpaid invoices.
- On the invoice page, an "Overdue" badge appears next to the status.
- The Reminders page, "Invoices" tab, lists the "Overdue invoices" with the recommended reminder level for each one.
The switch to overdue is automatic: you have nothing to do. A draft invoice never becomes overdue, so remember to send it. An invoice fully covered by credit notes does not become overdue and is not chased.
Send a reminder from the Reminders page
- Open Reminders, "Invoices" tab.
- On the invoice, click "Send reminder". The recommended level is preselected: "1st reminder (courteous)", "2nd reminder (firm)", "3rd reminder (last chance)" or "Formal notice".
- Check the message and the channel (Email, SMS or Email + SMS), then send.
- To chase several invoices at once, tick them then click "Bulk reminder".
From the invoice page, the "Reminder history" card also offers "Send a reminder" and lists the reminders already sent.
An email reminder requires an email address in the client's record. With no configuration, it is sent from Constrigo's sending address in your company's name; with your own sending server (Enterprise plan), it is sent from your address. An SMS reminder requires a phone number in the client's record.

On the mobile app
Open the overdue invoice, then in the menu tap "Remind client" and choose the level. An email preview opens in the phone's mail app: send it, and the reminder is recorded in the invoice history.
Formal notice and debt recovery
The "Recovery" tab of the Reminders page covers invoices more than 30 days overdue. It calculates the statutory late-payment interest and the fixed recovery fee of €40 per invoice (article L441-10 of the French Commercial Code), downloads a ready-to-send formal notice letter ("Formal notice" button) and offers "Export recovery CSV" for a debt collection provider.
Send the formal notice by registered letter with acknowledgment of receipt so that it serves as proof.
