In short
Send the invoice by email from its page, or download the PDF to forward it yourself. A draft that has been sent changes to the "Sent" status.
In brief
On the web, open the invoice and click "Send": enter the recipient, the subject and a message, then confirm. The client receives the invoice as a PDF attachment. With no setup, the email is sent from Constrigo's sending address in your company's name, and the client replies to your company's email.
Sending address: the default one or your own
With no configuration, your invoices are sent from the address notifications@constrigo.fr, in your company's name, and the client's replies arrive at your company's email. For the email to be sent from your own address, connect your mailbox's outgoing mail server (SMTP).
- Open Settings, then "Email configuration".
- Enter your outgoing server details, then click "Save" and "Test connection".
This setting is optional. Configuring your own outgoing server is included from the Enterprise plan and is reserved for the company owner.
On the web
- Open the invoice and click "Send".
- In the "Send invoice by email" window, check the "Recipient *" (the client's address is pre-filled) and the "Subject", which defaults to "Invoice" followed by the number.
- If you wish, add a "Custom message (optional)", displayed before the standard text.
- Confirm the sending. The "Invoice sent" message confirms the recipient's address.
The email states the invoice number, its total including VAT and its due date, with the invoice PDF attached. If the invoice was a draft, it changes to the "Sent" status.
Are you delivering the invoice another way (by hand, through your own email)? Click "PDF" to download it, then "Mark as sent".
On the mobile app
- Open the draft invoice and tap "Send to client".
- A preview of the email opens: check the client's address and the subject, then confirm the sending.
- The invoice is sent by email with its PDF attached and changes to the "Sent" status.
To pass on the PDF another way, tap "Download PDF" in the menu, then share the file with the app of your choice ("Share invoice PDF"). If the client's record has no email address, sending is refused with the message "Missing address".

Frequently asked questions
My client has not received the invoice. What should I do?
Check the email address on the client's record and ask them to look in their spam folder. If sending fails, try again a few minutes later, then contact support if the problem continues.
Do I need to set up a mailbox to send an invoice?
No. With no setup, the invoice is sent from Constrigo's sending address in your company's name. Configuring your own address (Settings, "Email configuration") is optional and included from the Enterprise plan.
Can I send the invoice to an address other than the client's?
Yes, edit the "Recipient *" field before sending. The client's record is not changed.
Can my client pay online?
With the client portal (Enterprise plan), the "Payment link" button on the invoice page copies a link to the invoice, which you send to the client. The "Pay" button is only displayed there if you have enabled online payment (Settings, "Online payment").
