In short
Record every payment you receive, even a partial one. Constrigo calculates the remaining balance and sets the invoice to "Paid" once it is settled.
In brief
Open the invoice, then in the "Payments & Credit notes" card click "Payment". Enter the amount, the date and the payment method, then save. The remaining balance equals the total including VAT minus payments and credit notes. When it reaches zero, the invoice automatically switches to "Paid" status.
Record a partial payment on the web
- Open the relevant invoice.
- In the "Payments & Credit notes" card, click "Payment".
- In the "Add a payment" window, enter the "Amount *". It cannot exceed the remaining balance, shown in the field.
- Enter the payment "Date" and the "Payment method": Bank transfer, Cheque, Cash, Bank card or Other.
- If needed, add a "Reference (optional)", for example a cheque number, and "Notes (optional)".
- Click "Save".
The card displays the "Remaining balance", a progress bar and the details of "Payments received" (date, amount, method, reference).

Settle an invoice in one go
- From the invoice page, click "Mark as paid", then "Confirm payment". The invoice is marked as paid on today's date.
- From the invoice list, open a row's menu and choose "Mark as paid".
- For several invoices, tick them in the list then click "Mark as paid".
Marking an invoice "Paid" is presented as irreversible. If the customer has only paid part of the amount, record a partial payment instead.
On the mobile app
- Open the invoice (sent or overdue).
- In the menu, tap "Add a payment".
- Enter the "Payment amount", the "Date received", the payment method and, if needed, the "Payment reference".
- Tap "Save payment".
To settle the invoice directly, tap "Mark as paid" at the bottom of the screen.

Going further
- Reduce the amount due without a payment: see "Create a credit note on an invoice".
- Payment is late: see "What to do when an invoice is overdue".
- Invoice a deposit: see "Deposit invoice and final invoice".
