In short
Every quote has a validity end date, 30 days by default. A sent quote with no reply switches to "Expired" once that date has passed.
In brief
A quote is valid for 30 days by default from its issue date. You can change this period quote by quote, from 1 to 365 days. Every morning, Constrigo switches to "Expired" any "Sent" quote whose validity date has passed. The date appears on the PDF given to the client.
Set the validity on the web
- Open the quote and click "Edit".
- In the "Dates & Validity" card, enter the "Validity period (days)", between 1 and 365.
- The "Expiration date" is recalculated from the "Issue date". Save.

Set the validity on mobile
When you create a quote, the "Validity" field is pre-filled with 30 days after today's date. Tap it to choose a different deadline, shown on the client PDF.
Automatic switch to "Expired"
- Every day at 7:00 a.m. (Paris time), quotes with the "Sent" status whose validity date has passed become "Expired".
- The recorded reason is "No follow-up".
- Drafts, accepted or declined quotes, and quotes with no validity date are not affected.
Before the deadline, follow up with your client using "Send a reminder for this quote": the reminder history is displayed on the quote.

Going further
- Starting again from an expired quote: use "Duplicate", see "Create a quote in Constrigo".
- The client sharing link has its own 30-day duration: see "Have your client sign a quote online".
Frequently asked questions
What is the default validity period?
30 days from the quote's issue date.
Can a draft expire?
No. Only quotes with the "Sent" status automatically switch to "Expired".
My client wants to accept an expired quote, what should I do?
Duplicate the quote with "Duplicate", check the prices and the new validity date, then send it again.
Are the quote's validity and the sharing link's validity linked?
No. The client sharing link expires 30 days after it is created, regardless of the quote's validity.
