In short

Hours submitted by your employees appear under "Approvals" on the web and in the "Team" tab on mobile. Approve them or reject them with a reason.

In brief

The business owner approves hours. On the web, open Time Clock, "Approvals" tab: submitted entries are grouped by team member, with "Approve" and "Reject" buttons. On mobile, open "Timesheets", "Team" tab. A rejected entry goes back to the employee with your reason. An approved entry can no longer be edited.

On the web

  1. Open Time Clock in the menu, then the "Approvals" tab. A counter shows the number of team members awaiting approval.
  2. Check each team member's entries (date, hours, job site).
  3. Click "Approve" for one entry, or "Approve all" for all of a team member's entries. Confirm in the "Approve hours?" window.
  4. To reject, click "Reject" or "Reject all", enter the "Reason for rejection", then confirm with "Reject".

The "Active clock-ins" tab shows employees who have clocked in and not yet clocked out.

On the mobile app

  1. Open "More", then "Timesheets", and choose the "Team" tab.
  2. For a team member, tap "Approve all" or "Reject all". You can also approve or reject each entry individually.
  3. Tap an entry to see its details: hours, job site, GPS location and clock-in photo. The "Approve" and "Reject" buttons are at the bottom of the screen.
  4. If you reject, enter the "Rejection reason": the employee is notified and can correct the entry and submit it again.

Overtime and exports

  • Overtime is counted per week, beyond 35 hours. In the "Month" view of the "My timesheets" tab, a table shows each team member's days, hours and "Overtime".
  • The "Export" menu offers "Export CSV" and "Print / PDF".
  • "DSN export (S21.G00.51)" is included from the Enterprise plan.

Approved hours feed payroll and the DSN (the French monthly social declaration). Review them before confirming: an approved entry can no longer be edited.

Going further

  • On the employee side: see "Entering your hours in Constrigo" and "Clocking in at a job site by GPS or QR code".
  • Approve expenses too: see "Submitting an expense report with a photo".

Frequently asked questions

Who can approve hours?

The business owner. The "Team" tab on mobile and approval on the web are not available to employees.

Is it normal for an entry to be marked "Rejected" when I did not reject it?

Yes, if the employee forgot to clock out. After 14 hours without a clock-out, Constrigo closes the entry at 8 hours after clock-in and marks it "Rejected" so the employee can correct it.

How is overtime calculated?

Per week: hours beyond 35 hours in the week are counted as overtime.

Can I undo an approval?

No, an approved entry is locked. Check the hours before confirming.
